Terms and Conditions

 Contract Agreement.

By accepting this quotation, the customer agrees to purchase and have the specified products supplied and installed by DH Glazing & Repairs. The Company agrees to deliver and fit the goods as detailed in the quotation.

Property Access.

The customer agrees to provide the Company with reasonable access to the property within 14 days of the contract date or as otherwise agreed in writing. This access is necessary to complete the work as scheduled.

Liability.

DH Glazing & Repairs accepts no responsibility for any electrical wiring, telephone lines, or other services that may interfere with installation. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure clear and safe access to all relevant areas prior to installation. We cannot be held liable for damage to wires, cables, or personal belongings within the work area.

Order Cancellations.

Orders may be cancelled for a full refund only if the products have not entered the manufacturing process. If manufacturing has begun, any outstanding costs for materials must be paid in full before the goods can be released as supply-only items.

Payment Terms.

A 50% deposit is required upon acceptance of the quotation to proceed with the ordering stage. Then the remaining 50% balance is due upon completion of the work unless there is a snag to complete see with-holding payments section below.

All materials remain the property of DH Glazing & Repairs until the final balance is paid in full.

Manufacturer's Product Guarantee.

 uPVC Frames - 10 years or manufacturer’s guarantee period whichever is the lesser: - Guaranteed against any failure in welded joints, distortion and surface finish when adequately maintained in-line with manufacturer’s guarantee.

Timber Frames - 5 years or manufacturer’s guarantee period whichever is the lesser: - Guaranteed against any failure in joints, distortion and rot when adequately maintained in-line with manufacturer’s guarantee.

Aluminum Frames - 10 years or manufacturer’s guarantee period whichever is the lesser: - Guaranteed against any failure in joints, distortion and coating when adequately maintained in-line with manufacturer’s guarantee.

IGU - 5 years or manufacturer’s guarantee period whichever is the lesser: - Guaranteed against the failure of hermetical seals (i.e. misting between panes).

Door Panels - 5 years or manufacturer’s guarantee period whichever is the lesser: - Guaranteed against any failure in joints, distortion and surface finish when adequately maintained in-line with manufacturer’s guarantee. 

Hardware - 1 year or manufacturer’s guarantee period whichever is the lesser: - Guaranteed against any failure in Locking mechanisms, hinges and all metallic moving parts when adequately maintained in-line with manufacturer’s guarantee.

Workmanship.

Workmanship Guarantee – 10 years: - Guaranteed against physical faults or errors in the installation which have been caused by defective workmanship.

Building Regulations – 6 years: - Where the works are registered with a Competent Person Scheme; this guarantee covers a breach of the Building Regulations in force at the time of the completion of the works.
 

Sealed Unit Replacements.
3-year guarantee when fitted into uPVC or aluminium frames against the failure of hermetical seals (i.e. misting between panes).
 

1-year guarantee when fitted into timber frames against the failure of hermetical seals (i.e. misting between panes).
 

Notes.

No guarantees are provided on repair work. i.e. Glazing works, Hinges, Handles Locking mechanisms  

Glass breakages are not covered unless damage occurs during installation; in such cases, we will arrange a replacement.
 

With-holding Payments.

Customers may withhold up to £200 or 20% of the final balance amount until any missing parts or replacement items are fitted. 

Payment must be made on completion of the final works.

Guarantees Period.

Guarantees begin from the date on the final invoice and run for the specified duration of the products fitted.
 

Data Protection.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you consent for DH Glazing & Repairs storing your personal information for the duration of any applicable guarantee, up to a maximum of 10 years. This includes your name, address, phone number, email, images, and other relevant contact details. Your information will never be shared with third parties or used for marketing purposes. In cases where necessary (e.g., for certification), your details may be shared with CERTASS and QANW to issue official documentation.
