Korniche Roof Lanterns – The UK’s Finest Roof Lantern

Korniche roof lanterns are widely regarded as the best-performing, strongest, and most thermally efficient aluminium roof lanterns available in the UK today. Designed and manufactured in Britain, they deliver breathtaking floods of natural light into kitchens, orangeries, flat-roof extensions, and open-plan living spaces – all with slim, contemporary styling and class-leading performance.

Why Korniche Stands Above the Rest

  1. Unrivalled Strength – No Ugly Tie Bars -Patented high-strength rafter and ridge design means even the largest lanterns (up to 6 m × 3 m) require zero internal tie bars or braces. Clean, uninterrupted sightlines every time.
  2. Slimmest Sightlines on the Market -External ridge only 48 mm wide, internal just 38 mm – 30–40 % slimmer than most competitors. More glass, less frame, more light.
  3. Best-in-Class Thermal Performance
    • Whole-unit U-value as low as 0.9–1.2 W/m²K (depending on glazing spec)
    • Full thermal break + polyamide insulation throughout
    • Achieves Building Regulation Part L compliance with ease

  1. Glazing Options to Suit Every Project
    • Double or triple glazed
    • Solar control, self-cleaning, blue-tint, or privacy glass
    • Slim 24 mm double or ultra-slim 28 mm vacuum triple units

  1. Stunning Contemporary Design
    • Minimalist external capping (no bulky Victorian-style hips)
    • Choice of anthracite grey, black, white, or dual-colour

  1. Built to Last
    • Marine-grade powder coating
    • 10-year manufacturer guarantee
    • Tested to withstand 120 mph winds and heavy snow loads

Perfect For

  • Flat-roof kitchen extensions
  • Orangeries & garden rooms
  • Open-plan living areas

Bring the sky into your home with a Korniche roof lantern – the professional installer’s first choice and the homeowner’s dream feature.

How We Install a Korniche Roof Lantern – Professional Fitting in One Day

Installing a Korniche Roof Lantern is a precise job best left to experienced installers (like us!), but here’s a clear overview of how it’s done:

  1. Pre-Installation Check -We confirm the structural opening is correct (usually a pre-prepared upstand/kerb built by your builder to Korniche’s exact specifications).
  2. Lantern Assembled onsite -One of the big advantages – The roof lantern is fully assembled onsite making it easy to get onto the roof for the team and narrow access areas
  3. Lift & Position -The lantern is carefully lifted onto the upstand (by hand  and perfectly centred.
  4. Secure & Weatherproof
    • Fixed to the upstand using heavy-duty brackets and stainless-steel fixings
    • High-performance thermal tape and sealant applied between lantern and upstand

  1. Final Checks & Clean -All glass cleaned, and a full weather-tightness inspection carried out.

Most domestic Korniche lanterns are fully installed and watertight in 2-3 hours with minimal mess and no need for scaffolding.
